Instructor for adult pottery class focused on wheel-thrown, functional ceramics. Also introducing hand building and slab built techniques as well as surface design.
Instructor for introduction class focused on wheel-thrown pottery
Instructor for group of 20 high school students for intensive 1-week workshop; Wheel throwing and hand building functional forms
Teach children ages 6-16 basic pottery skills — Hand-building, Wheel-throwing, glazing techniques
Teach an individual private lesson once a week — Wheel-throwing, coil-building, slab work, and high fire glaze techniques.
Teach group and couple private lessons — Wheel-throwing and simple glaze techniques
Lead community and Project Network firings, kiln repair, stack and split wood, maintain glaze, wadding and kiln wash inventory, general projects i.e. build new Wood Shed
Reclaim clay, assist with all kiln building projects, mix and test slips and glazes, assist with show set-up and shipping as well as develop new work for myself.
Throw 30 porcelain cylinders for attendees to make creamers with Martha. Making sure Martha and all attendees are comfortable and equipped.
Customer communication and service. Answer technical questions for customers and students. Fill orders in a timely organized fashion. Maintain store front organization and appearance.
Mix class glazes and slips, fire cone 10 gas kiln and multiple electric kilns. Facilitate birthday parties, private lessons and paid firings. Maintain accounts receivable.
Assist owner in displaying, selling and caring for pottery and sculpture.
